With financial support from the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences’ Aid for Interdisciplinary Sessions Fund.
This multi-organizational forum brings together some of the organizations whose members "teach writing" from distinct but overlapping theoretical and pedagogical orientations. The goal of this session is to showcase the activities of each organization in order to foster dialogue and collaboration. The presidents of CASDW (Canadian Association for the Study of Discourse and Writing), CWCA (Canadian Writing Centres Association), ACCUTE (Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English), and CCA (Canadian Communication Association) will highlight their organizations' 1) objectives, 2) membership, 3) main areas of study, core methodologies, current work, 4) pedagogical orientations, successes, challenges, and 5) key areas for potential advocacy.
The co-hosts for this event are: 105 - Canadian Communication Association (CCA) / Association canadienne de communication (ACC) and 19 - Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English (ACCUTE)
- Presidents of CASDW, ACCUTE, CCA, and CWCA,
