How might disability performance help to unsettle assumptions about embodiment, conversation, and the public sphere? How does water support circles of conversation among disabled people? These central research questions will animate the keynote address and subsequent aquatic workshop of Dr. Petra Kuppers, whose award-winning and groundbreaking work in the field of disability performance studies has been profoundly influential and generative.
