This workshop will explore the how’s and why’s of journaling—in both digital and analog forms—as an organizational tool, intentional practice, and aesthetic expression. We will discuss particular ways of planning, documenting, and scheduling one’s activity and ideas, and demonstrate some of the methods that have worked for us. We will also discuss how various journaling and time management practices can help us think about the conditions in which we pursue academic work, and guide us to approach that work in ways that meet our own needs and objectives.
