This collaborative exhibit showcases the first three digital books to come from RavenSpace publishing, As I Remember It: Teachings (Ɂəms tɑɁɑw) from the life of a Sliammon Elder(UBC Press), KA̱NS HIŁILE (MAKING IT RIGHT): A Collaborative Reframing of Kwakiutl Film and Audio Recordings with Franz Boas (U Washington Press),and Musqueam Stories Transformed (UBC Press). These digital publications highlight new ways of featuring Indigenous content and stories through multi-media. RavenSpace is a platform developed by UBC Press and the University of Washington press that provides a new model for digital publishing in Indigenous studies. It is a digital space where communities and scholars can work together to create media-rich, interactive books that present knowledge and research in accessible, relevant, and culturally sensitive ways.

The co-hosts for this event are: UBC Press, UBC’s Xwi7xwa Library, UBC Education Library, and UBC’s Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology
