The CANADIAN UNIVERSITY MUSIC SOCIETY (MUSCAN) will hold its annual conference from June 5th-7th, 2019. Our society's mandate is to stimulate musical research, performance, composition, and pedagogy in Canadian universities through scholarly papers, concerts, symposia, and publications, and to provide a forum for the exchange of views and information and the discussion of common problems among musicians in Canadian universities. As such, proposals from all areas including musicology, music theory, ethnomusicology, composition, music education, electro-acoustic music, music recording and production, music films, and performance are welcome from members and non-members. With its Calls for Lecture-Recitals, Mini-Concerts, Scores, Papers, Sessions, Films, and Round Tables, MusCan aims to bring together scholars from a wide range of perspectives for a vibrant discussion and musical creation.
